Gamers Outreach meets Horizon once again!
Going above and Beyond, Gamers Outreach were back for round 2 of charity fundraising with their exceptional 'Gamers for Giving' campaign.
Gamers Outreach is a for-purpose organization restoring a sense of joy and normalcy in the lives of hospitalized kids. Each year, millions of children and their families receive medical care inside hospitals. For many, the process can be scary and isolating. During hospitalization, kids lose access to friends, school, and moments that typically define childhood. Gamers Outreach believes the world is better when kids can play, and gamers have the power to help.
Throughout the weekend of March 26th & 27th, the Horizon team came together, as a team of 14 creators, to fundraise throughout the 48 hours. Horizon successfully raised a total of $8,758.41, with an original goal of $5,000.
The overarching campaign successfully raised $1,031,230.36 for Gamers Outreach.
Words from Kieran Wood, Co-Founder & Ops and Commercial Lead, at Horizon:
There was no doubt that when Gamers Outreach reached out to engage Horizon once again, we were all in. Successfully surpassing our original targets and overachieving for this incredible charity is a testament to the incredible dedication and passion of the Horizon creators and their respective communities. We look forward to the next one.
